What is CERBOF?

Research and innovation in collaboration with
the Swedish Energy Agency

CERBOF - the Swedish acronym for "the Centre for Energy and Resource Efficiency in the Built Environment" - is a research and innovation programme initiated by the Swedish Energy Agency.

The Energy Agency runs CERBOF in collaboration with various partners in the construction sector. IQ Samhällsbyggnad - the Association for Innovation and Quality in the Built Environment - provides CERBOF with administrative office services.

Objectives

CERBOF's vision is efficient and sustainable exploitation of energy and resources in the construction sector, as well as buildings with high quality indoor environment.

CERBOF's mission is to be the primary forum where the public sector, the private sector, the academic community and the end-users meet to catalyze relevant research and innovation projects.

CERBOF's activities are to be conducive to the commercialisation of research findings and results. Supported research, development and demonstration shall contribute towards the attainment of national energy and environment objectives, as well as towards the strengthening of the competitiveness of Swedish trade and industry.
